Me and my friend want to visit Slovenia next week, but the weather forecasts are making us very confused They do tell us different things from snow to rain to cloudy with a little rain.......etc.... The area we are going visit is the Tolmin area. Do You know anything about how heavy rain it will be ?? (Will it snow?) Is it going to be fishable or not ?? Do You think, we shall come all the way from Denmark.... we will be in Slovenia from tuesday to sunday. Thanks Torben, DK |

Hey torben and welcome to our forum board! Well, since Slovenia has many different weather influences due to its location and orographic conditions, it is extremely hard to make a long term forecasts. Till tuesday the weather should be nice and warm during the daytime, but from wednesday on there will be some rain with lower temperatures if the forecasts don´t change in the next few days... It is also very difficult to say how much rain will fall next week, but we all hope that the last catastrophe with major flooding, landfalls and human casualties which hit our country this week won´t happen again If there won´t be much rain at the end of the next week fishing should be ok, but bring your warm clothes with you... I hope this information helps, but for more fresh info and weather update please visit this site just a day or two before your departure from Denmark- we will try to provide you the latest information... Hi Lucky. Thanks for Your reply. I´m a dedicated dryfly-fisher.... If the weather gets colder, what are the chances for my kind of fishing ??? When the forecast for the next week gets nearer.... what do we have to consider: rain or temperature ?? Can I have a good (dryfly)fishingtime in cold weather?? Thanks again Torben |

As it looks today, Tuesday will be still nice. From Wednesday to Saturday more than 200l of rain per m2 is forecasted in Tolmin area. In my opinion there will be no chance for (dryfly)fishing. Perhaps, it would be better to postpone your trip for some time?! Tight lines, Samaki Maji wenye samaki |

Hey torben,,, As samaki said... Weather forecast is not good at all! Heavy rain is forecasted for wednesday and thursday. It looks a bit more promising for friday and for the weekend, but rivers will probably rise due to heavy rain... So I think it is worth postponing your trip for a week or so... Tight lines, Lucky |
