| Where to fish near Nova Gorica now? | ||

I arrived in Nova Gorica yesterday,I will be here for 4 months, and I would like to fish next week. Today I have visited several rivers that I know thanks to this site, near Tolmin (Soca, Idrijca, Baca, Tolminka...) and it raised me several reactions and questions: -The main reaction concerns the Soca. I didn'i realise that it was such a big river, with so much water. What's more going from Nova Gorica I saw that there were several parts of the river which semt to have less water, such as near Kanal. Does it mean that there are just some parts of the rivers in which I can fish in good conditions? Are there other parts in which it's forbidden to fish and dangerous because of the dams? -Then concerning the other rivers, seeing the level of waters (I don't know if it is high or not) , I guess that the best rivers at the moment are Baca and Idrijca, aren't they? Finally, where do you advise me to go? Is there somebody who accpets to come with me the first time, certainly next saturday? Than you? [ Edited Sunday 11 May 2008 - 22:23:00 ] jv |
