With or without their distinctive colours, the Slovenian countryside, rivers and fish are always stunningly beautiful.

To begin with, I'm posting a sepia picture of a classic pool of the Sava Bohinjka in it's summer splendor.

Sometimes black and white pictures can turn real fish into pencil drawings ...

You mind telling us camera, lens and (if applicable) film info? They all are reallly nice.

Im into old rangefinders and this year Ill have a couple with me, of both the German and Soviet persuasions, along with many rolls of film.

A size 12 Red Spinner Parachute, well worn and soaking wet after catching a few fish on the Baca river.

P.S. : Rod pictured is a Leonard 40-5 prototype (Tom Maxwell's personal rod).

Hey "MikeL",

You're really breaking my heart speaking about "film", because I tried very hard to keep using traditional cameras well into the digital era.

Last year I finally gave up and bought a compact digital.

So far, it has served extremely well as my "fishing camera", since it fits the smallest pocket in my fly vest and does not interfere at all with casting and fighting fish like the big old cameras.

I still use my old Nikon F70 with Fuji Velvia and Kodachrome slide-film from time to time, but all the pictures posted in this thread were shot with my compact digital (Lumix FX12 with Leica lens).

The Lumix cameras are very, very nice. I had one, but I dropped it in the ocean while fishing for bones in Hawaii last fall.

I have an Olympus waterproof now. The picture quality isnt nearly as good but at least I dont have to worry when it takes a dunking. It can even take underwater photos.

Hey dickerson,,,

Amazing pics!

And obviously Lumix did it again I am using TZ-3 and really love it- it is a really nice pocket camera which nicely fits in the fishing vest. And it also produces nice photos. So far, I am very satisfied with it

Thanks a lot for sharing your pics with us,
Lucky
