No, kolikor vidim je tebi kljub normalnemu vodostaju in bistri vodi uspelo pretentati kar nekaj pravih domačink! Hvala za objavo in lep muharski pozdrav, Lucky [ Edited Sunday 06 April 2008 - 21:29:28 ] |

Hja! Slikal nisem! Voda je bila nekoliko višja! Ribe zelo aktivne! Dobil od potočnih, soških, križancev, do šarenk. Nekaj tudi na suho. Pravzaprav sem dobil ta dan toliko soških in križancev, kot v petih letih skupaj! LP Dober prijem in ujemi spusti |

Amazing report Urni Sulec ! This is one of the small Slovenian streams that I always wanted to try but that I never had the chance to fish because it is not included in the “B” type tourist licence issued by the R.D. Idrija. How many times have I looked at the Kanomljica gently flowing into the Idrijca at the deep pool below the gas station bridge at Sp. Idrija … A couple of years ago I slowly drove along its unpoiled, green valley on my way to visit the R.D. Idrija fish farm up in the valley, where Elio the river warden informed me about a dam project due to devastate this pristine water system in the future. I really hope that it will never happen ! By the way, does anybody know if I can fish the Kanomljica with the more expensive “A” type licence ? Tight Lines ! |

During my June 2008 fishing holiday in Slovenia, game wardens Elio and Danilo confirmed me that with the “A” type daily licence the visiting angler is allowed to fish in all the waters managed by the R.D. Idrija, including the two main tributary streams: the Kanomljica and the Cerknica. Therefore, on June 19, after a wonderful, sunny morning on the upper Idrijca I took an “afternoon break” in order to spend a couple of hours with my little 7’0’’ # 4 rod under the shade of the tree canopy on the pretty Kanomljica. From the bridge at Spodnja Idrija I drove past the dam and the miniature “reservoir” (actually it’s just a short stretch of still-water), parked my car near a little wood-bridge and proceeded to fish upstream. I had the entire river to myself, because it seems that any other angler who buys the expensive “A” type licence wants to get the most out of his “investment” fishing on the upper Idrijca all day long, and as a result this tiny, crystal clear waters are largely overlooked. The Kanomljica is roughly half the size of the Trebuscica, with a gentler flow and shorter pools, and in my opinion it requires a more technical approach, since there is very little room for trouble-free casting and the trout are very easy to spook. The river holds a rich and diverse insect population: I spotted many different species of mayflies (including cream-white danicas and yellow-green vulgatas), large gray caddis and lots of microscopic midges. Fish were casually rising here and there, and I managed to catch a handful of small to fair-sized browns, rainbows and hybrids: nothing to write home about, but they were a nice bunch of colourful, wild fish and I was delighted to spend a couple of hours in this green and peaceful valley before heading back to the Idrijca for the evening hatch. Tight Lines ! |
